Sophie A. Church became a USANA Independent Associate in February 2003. At first, it was to overcome serious health issues and generate just enough income to cover the amount necessary to buy the USANA products she needed each month in order to recover her health. But the income started being generated the very first week and grew to larger amounts than she had expected. That, and the fact her health was getting significantly better, motivated her to look into the business side of USANA. From her first $142.50 weekly commission check, the amount of her USANA check was $1,140.00 for the exact same week, 12 months later.

In 2004, she had already started training the many USANA associates that joined her team. In 2008, under the
banner Phoenix Alliance, she organized and expanded her training, to be able to train up to 40 new USANA
associates at once. Her main motivation is to give the kind of hands-on teaching and support she wished she
had when starting up her USANA business. Her goal is to help all new Phoenix Alliance members attain in 6
weeks the results it took her 12 months to achieve on her own.
